Junction And Distribution Boxes
The programme of standard enclosures and medium-voltage connection boxes offers an extensive range of octagonal and rectangonal designs. A distinction is made between the type and manner of cable entry. Connection boxes are available for horizontal connection or cable entry and exit from below as well as from all sides. Busbar boxes and protective boxes in sandwich design for elbow connectors are also available. The flange plates can be designed in a splitted, removable design to make the installation process more easy. So the deinstallation of an already with elbow connectors installed, prefinished cable is not required. All enclosures and medium voltage connection boxes are available without gaps for nominal voltages of 230 V DC/AC and from 6.6 kV to 36 kV AC. In addition, all enclosures and most connection boxes are also available in an Ex-certified version (Ex i, Ex e and Ex d) for Group I and II. The medium-voltage connection boxes with a wall thickness of 3 mm are extremely robust and are made of either sheet steel or stainless steel AISI 316L as standard. On request, the connection boxes can also be made of other steels. The cover of the connection boxes is either equipped with hinges and a padlock or the cover is fastened with screws. The medium-voltage cables are inserted either with cable glands or with a splitted cable entry system. The medium-voltage connection boxes can optionally be equipped with a side box for connecting low-current conductors and/or fibre optics, a heating cable, a 3-phase voltage indicator and with a cover contact switch (microswitch). As standard, all connection boxes are provided with a hole for mounting a pressure compensating/drainer element to prevent condensation. The connection boxes are usually powder-coated in RAL 3020 (red), but other RAL colours are also available on request. Independently of the standard connection boxes, customised and tailor-made connection boxes can also be manufactured on request. For example, quite often are inquiries for connecton boxes with already installed and pre-wired flange mounted couplers from 1,1 kV up to 24 kV. We can also implement these requests.
We also offer a product brochure for download.
