The MV switchgear has a structure composed by one ore more compartments for specific functions, as determined by the needs and system configuration

  • main busbar compartment
    => in the upper part of the control cabinet, separated from other units
  • breakers and circuit breakers compartment
    => contains the air-, vacuum- or SF6-gas-insulated circuit-breaker
    => controls located on the front of the panels
  • cable compartment
    => in the lower part of the switchgear, protected by an interlocked door
  • auxiliary circuit compartment
    => located above the switch-disconnector compartment
    => measuring instruments, protection relays, fuses, low voltage switches
